Once again, I want to apologize for this WAY overdue journal. Mi dispiace
So before I get into asking everyone about how the winter meetup could go, I want to just go over some points about Hetalia Day.
First off, thank you for everyone attending, from those who brought food/drinks and games ( especially those who were prepared to play a game... but we never ended up playing it ) to the parents that helped out and every Hetalian/Homestucker who wandered on over to our little ( pretty big ) gathering! Another big thanks to for aiding in rounding up lost Hetalians and such, and to who was the Germany that helped me get everyone's attention.
So from here, I'm just going to cover a few thinks that I think... could have been handled better? I don't want anyone to think I'm hating on anyone else, or that anyone in particular is guilty of anything, but I simply want to shed some light on a few points that I think we all could consider from here on out ( and I want to apologize if this first part is more rant-like, but I just feel really strongly about these subjects, and I hope you can see where I'm coming from u_u" )
Running off with someone's wig/prop/stuff.
- I realize that you might have choreographed a prop/flag stealing scene together, and that's cool, but otherwise it's probably not the best idea to forcefully grab someone else's stuff and make a taunting dash with it. Just because you are France stealing England's stuff, Vriska, or some opposing forces in a story does not give anyone the a-ok to randomly take from another. Especially not the wig. Maybe it's just me, but I had a person at a previous con or something swipe my wig and, while I was fake smiling my way through it, I was really kind of angry that someone just took off with a wig that took me a little lot of time to finally not be itchy in. Also, when play fighting, I know it's easy to get lost in the moment, but try to be aware of your surroundings. While playfully swinging around a sword, you may smack someone upside the face, or when wrestling something away from another, you may actually inflict some degree of pain on the other.
Barking up trees/ climbing on buildings.
- I know that no one ended up on a building, but I did see some tree climbing going on unfortunately. Unlike how if prop stealing is planned out its ok, climbing structures/ greenery is not alright all 'round. I don't care if you are the pro-climber 3000 and scaled Mt. Everest or something, you really can't go scrambling up a tree, and not just for safety reasons! The park people probably maintain those green things to look all nice and stuff, and if someone were to scrape up their work or snap a branch, they probably wouldn't be very enthused.
Flipping the bird.
- You may be Karkat, Punk!England, or Romano, but no one wants to see your lovely middle finger sticking up, especially when it's directed at others. In other words, even if its in character, PLEASE don't do that. And I'm not just harping on anyone because there were younger peeps running around. Gestures like that are just flat out mean, and if you are having a good time, why make a bad gesture?
Flags on the ground.
- The one thing that kind of made me insecure above all were the times I looked around and found countries' flags crumpled up on the grass. I really believe that if we bring a flag to someplace, it should be either standing up or at least off of the ground. I realize that I also unintentionally messed up here, as I had lost my little Italian flag, only to find it after the event on the ground by the picnic table. Lets all work together so that we can make sure any future flag isn't sullied by the dirt.
I hope I haven't destroyed anyone's good mood, but I REALLY hope the wonderful people who read all the way through this take it to heart for future meetups. Alongside that, I do hope that everyone had a great time this past Hetalia Day, as it seemed most everyone who put their words out there had positive things to say~! Though, I feel that these points are important, and if anyone would like to talk or elaborate on an aspect these points entail, PLEASE comment or note me! I really want everyone to understand what I'm trying to say here, so if you don't understand, contact me please!
Winter Meeting!
So now that we've got that out of the way, let's begin talking about the winter gathering, shall we? Also, keep in mind that this will be a video gaming/drawing event. Board games are also cool if someone wants to bring some. Food may be permitted in potluck form, but that's still an unknown, so we'll just go with a 'bring your own lunch/snack' scenario for now. Also, cosplay is totally optional here, so, for instance, if you're a Seychelles cosplayer, you don't necessarily have to come in a thin blue dress during winter weather.
Day/Time
If everyone could comment their winter breaks, that would give a general idea of the time-span we could choose from ^w^
My break is from the 23rd of Dec. to the 3rd of Jan.
Location
This is going to be the tricky one as that, unless it snows a whole lot, we're going to be inside for this meeting. My suggestion for this even would be the Crestwood Community Center because it has good spaces available for renting and I know I can trust the workers there. The only issue is that its pretty far south ( from Forest Park where Hetalia Day was held ), and any people who want to come from the north might have a little lot of trouble traveling that far. If anyone has any other suggestions, please comment away!
Once again, I'm sorry if my rant at the top is a bit scalding, but if it comes off as that way, please talk to me about any qualms! The last thing I want to do is single out anybody or hurt anyone's feelings... I really think we all can work together to have a great time while making decisions that won't take away from anyone else's good time, ya know?
Ciao for now!

Spring Breaks?
Hey guys! As you know, spring is fast approaching...and with it comes our annual spring meet-up at the zoo~
We're still trying to decide when would be best to have the meet-up, so we were wondering when everyone had their spring break. I hope that we can try to compromise a time in which most of us are free, and I look forward to having another great get-together! c:
KAWAKON PANEL
Hey hetalians its that time of year again, we need to get people to sig up for our panel at Kawakon. The Ask a Nation is currently set for Saturday from 5:00PM to 6:00PM, and there are already a few characters taken. Those characters are: England, Russia, America, Hungary, and Prussia.
Some rules-
If you know for a fact you wont be able to make the time/day we have the panel set at, or have no idea, please don't ask me to sign you up for it, I don't want to have a ton of panelists missing last second.
Please no OCs, duplicates, or gender bends, you can change the verse of your character (i.e 2p, Steampunk!, Cardverse!, or something like
Spring Meet-Up and KawaKon
Hi, everyone! Happy New Year! Did everyone enjoy the holidays?
First off, this is a bit early, but if we want to get more people to come to our meetups, then we need to plan things a bit earlier. For instance, the spring meetup at the Zoo is one of these things. It's going to be on a Saturday in March, I know that for a fact. But if people are too busy with Easter Preparations and other things, we can move it to April. I'm going to need you guys to tell me in the comments below what Saturday in March would work best for you. In about two weeks, I'll meet with the other admins and leaders and make the decision.
Also, we're going to ha

It's not super organized or anything but it will be at the St. Louis mills mall from 12-5 on Saturday, December 6th.

I will be cosplaying pirate spain and we will be meeting by the playground (I will stay there for a bit but after that I'll be walking around.
Hope to see some of you there if you can make it~~ c:
