Alright~! The 23rd of March is now coming close into view, so I thought I'd note some rather important final details before this day is upon us. First off, we'll all meet at the 'Living World' entrance, the place that leads directly into the round building with all of them whales hangin' from the ceiling. I'm gonna bring a list of peeps who said they might make it, so once everyone arrives, we can set off on our journey~!
I'd also like to just take this marvelous weather today and sprinkle it on the 23rd, but, unfortunately, I can't do that, so I'm keeping a close eye on the weather. In the case of crazy bad weather or something, I will write up an announcement a day or two before the 23rd. Please keep your eyes out for any notices right around the 23rd, because if there is bad weather, I'll probably postpone our zoo trip to next week or something. Being that it's spring-ish around now, and the air is fickle as all get out, I hope we can be sorta flexible on the subject
Lastly, it sounds like the Dippin' Dots and most face painting stations are solely open in the summer --- but either way, think ahead a bit about what you'd like to do when we walk around. If you want to ride the carrousel or buy a puffin plush, you might want some cash on hand. If you want to derp around in the fountain, you might need a change of clothes. Once again, just review the suggested items to bring, and don't forget your lunch!

Cosplay
While I did mention that the zoo leaders said that 'people in costume' aren't allowed on the zoo grounds, and that 'casual' cosplay would be best to wear, I wanted to add ( and hopefully not complicate >.>" ) some additional notes:
While 'costumes' are not permitted, ( ie. Halloween ghosties and furry suits ) I feel that just the normal cosplay of the countries of Hetalia ( military-ish outfits, England's eyebrows, Karkat's horns ) would be allowed. The thing I definitely don't think will be passed are the 'props' ( Russia's pipe, any giant flags, Tavros's horns, maybe grey face paint ). Another point I wanted to make is that we won't know where the weather will be around this time. This is mostly where the casual cosplay comes in. Usually casual cosplay of countries includes shorts/pants, maybe a wig, and a T-shirt reflecting something about the cosplayed country. This sort of wear would be great if it turns out to be a rather hot day, and especially if we're going to be running around taking pictures ( leisurewear = great mobility ). If it's chilly, then the 'formal' wear might be more nice to wear, and wigs are great head warmers
What Do?
First off: etiquette. I trust you all to be marvelous Hetalians and Homestuckers out there, making your mark in the world, and spreading the elements of harmony far and wide; but lets just review some basic rules. 1st- No setting, kindling, or starting sick fires. Molto importante. 2nd- Everyone is encouraged to have a flippin' fantastic time at the zoo with all the animals ( be plushies or real ), activities, and references one can possibly find; but remember that there are other peeps out there just going out for a stroll with their kids and such. Let's show our Hetalian spirit, but not let it grow out of control into obnoxious behavior.
Yeah, I think that about covers it~
Now for the real what do.
The plan that I heard might work best is this:
We can stick together the entire time and map out a path beforehand that we follow through out the zoo.
To elaborate, this means that we stay within the general vicinity of each other, but move as a big Hetalian cluster to other areas. Really, I realize that probably many of our members know the zoo like the back of their hand, but lets not accidentally leave someone behind because they couldn't hear our decision to move, ya now?
Also, sometime amidst our journey, we'll all stop for lunch at one of the picnic table areas ( or if its nasty weather, perhaps in the food court area back at the round entrance ). Lastly:
Please comment on were you all want to walk by.
I'd love to try to make it to as many exhibitions as everyone else chooses. I'd also like to know if we should not go to certain exhibits ( ex. the goat place because they might eat up our pants or something ).
Places that have been suggested so far are:
The Penguin and Puffin House
The Reptile House/Herpetarium
The Bug House
That-Place-with-the-Naked-Mole-Rats
The Bird House
*it was suggested that we go see pandas, but i was told that our zoo doesnt have 'em >.> perhaps we could go a mission to find them~?
Just to put it out there, but I'm not planning on making any stops that cost money ( ex. the Sea Lion show ).
What to Bring
Hot or cold temperatures, there will definitely be necessary things to take along:
Water - especially if it'll get warm throughout the day
Watches - ( or some way of keeping time )
Small bag/Backpack - it's not really needed, but if you're going to have problems just toting your items, this will make the trip a tad easier
Lunch - can be relating to a specific country's culture, or your favorite tuna salad
Monies - if you are easily tempted to get your face painted, or get those dippin' dots ( like me ), bring a rather small amount of cash on hand [ Money really shouldn't be an issue, if you bring a bottle of water and other essentials, everyone should be set to have a great time ]
Yourself - I'll be trying to sign everyone in as they arrive at the zoo so that we can keep a good head-count as we fawn over Puffins [ I trust you all can keep track of where you all are and such, but I want to keep one eye on our numbers so that no country or troll disappears chasing peacocks ( please don't run after the poor birds ).
Cellphone - you know, basic communication with your ride and the rest of us
Camera!
Please look through this journal and tell me what you think~!
Talk to you all soon~!

Spring Breaks?
Hey guys! As you know, spring is fast approaching...and with it comes our annual spring meet-up at the zoo~
We're still trying to decide when would be best to have the meet-up, so we were wondering when everyone had their spring break. I hope that we can try to compromise a time in which most of us are free, and I look forward to having another great get-together! c:
KAWAKON PANEL
Hey hetalians its that time of year again, we need to get people to sig up for our panel at Kawakon. The Ask a Nation is currently set for Saturday from 5:00PM to 6:00PM, and there are already a few characters taken. Those characters are: England, Russia, America, Hungary, and Prussia.

If you know for a fact you wont be able to make the time/day we have the panel set at, or have no idea, please don't ask me to sign you up for it, I don't want to have a ton of panelists missing last second.
Please no OCs, duplicates, or gender bends, you can change the verse of your character (i.e 2p, Steampunk!, Cardverse!, or something like
Spring Meet-Up and KawaKon
Hi, everyone! Happy New Year! Did everyone enjoy the holidays?
First off, this is a bit early, but if we want to get more people to come to our meetups, then we need to plan things a bit earlier. For instance, the spring meetup at the Zoo is one of these things. It's going to be on a Saturday in March, I know that for a fact. But if people are too busy with Easter Preparations and other things, we can move it to April. I'm going to need you guys to tell me in the comments below what Saturday in March would work best for you. In about two weeks, I'll meet with the other admins and leaders and make the decision.
Also, we're going to ha
Mall Meet-Up

It's not super organized or anything but it will be at the St. Louis mills mall from 12-5 on Saturday, December 6th.

I will be cosplaying pirate spain and we will be meeting by the playground (I will stay there for a bit but after that I'll be walking around.
Hope to see some of you there if you can make it~~ c:
